Monticello junior quarterback Kevin Jarrell was honored at the recent Falcon Club banquet with the Corbett King Memorial Student-Athlete Award.
Jarrell passed for 1573 yards, completing 96 of 204 attempts, with 10 touchdowns this past fall, and was second on the team with 583 rushing yards on 139 attempts with eight touchdowns. Combined, Jarrell accounted for 2,156 total yards and 18 touchdowns.
Jarrell threw for a career high 279 yards versus Powhatan with a career high three touchdowns. His 94-yard touchdown pass against Powhatan matched the longest pass play in school history.
A multi-sport student-athlete, Jarrell also plays varsity baseball and has played varsity basketball for the Mustangs. In the classroom, Jarrell excels as a student, sporting a 4.6 GPA.
