Multiple Teams · Senior Night Information – Winter 2018-2019


Dear Senior Student-Athletes & Parents,

Thank you for your time and commitment to Monticello Athletics and congratulations on your Senior Year! It is certainly an exciting and promising time in your lives.

Parents, I would like to invite you as our guest, free of admission, to our Senior Night recognition days for this winter season, to be held in conjunction with home athletics events on the following dates…

Girls Basketball – Wednesday, January 30 (vs. Fluvanna)
– Senior recognition will be immediately before the varsity contest at approx. 7:30pm. Senior parents please arrive by 7:00pm.

Wrestling – Wednesday, January 30 (vs. Fluvanna/Western Albemarle) in Auxiliary Gym
– Senior recognition will be immediately following the first round of matches at approx. 6:45pm. Senior parents please arrive by 6:15pm.

Boys & Girls Swim / Boys & Girls Indoor Track – Wednesday, January 30 (Girls Basketball vs. Fluvanna) 
– Senior recognition will be at halftime of the varsity basketball game at approx. 8:00pm. Senior parents please arrive by 7:30pm.

Boys Basketball / Cheerleading – Tuesday, February 5 (vs. Powhatan)
– Senior recognition will be immediately before the varsity game at approx. 7:30pm. Senior parents please arrive by 7:00pm.

For all teams, parents please gather in areas designated by athletic department staff at the arrival times listed above.  The athletic department will provide an individually wrapped flower for the parent(s) and a commemorative Senior Night shirt as a gift to each senior student-athlete.  Additional gifts/decorations are permitted at the discretion of each team, team coaches, and/or team parents.  Senior announcements should be collected by each coach to be shared with the announcer at the games. Announcements should be typed and brief (name, sport(s) played at Monticello and how many years of each, plans after high school).
