Will Trent continued his march through the record books at the Region 3C Track and Field championships on Thursday at Turner Ashby HS. In his first event, Will finished strong but still finished 2nd behind Heritage’s Thomas Johnson. But there would be two more battles in the 200 and 400 and Trent would win both of them. He finished with a 22.22 in the 200 (school record) and a 48.84 in the 400 (school record). Another Will, Will Krehmeyer, took runner up in the 3200 meter run with a personal best of 10:00.25. Both Will’s will compete at the state meet next week. Other athletes who placed were: Hunter Ray (800, 6th), Tre Chapman (Triple Jump, 4th), Kumiko Turner (Discus, 6th), and the Boys 4 x 800 (Jaime McCampbell, Nick Baker, Joe Spaeder, and Cooper Roy) 5th.
